After discussing it with Gresham we concluded to invest them on Malita.
In particular, if we want to ensure that she is properly taken care of and actually gets some benefits from being at the Bandawe school, we need to support her directly, like we are already doing, and indirectly, by sponsoring different activities at the school. Unfortunately this is the only way to be sure that she gets proper food and assistance during her stay at Bandawe.
Dobbiamo ancora informarvi dall’uso che faremo dei soldi che ci sono rimasti dalla presentazione ‘Roma nei film’.
Dopo averne parlato anche con Gresham, abbiamo deciso di investirli su Malita.
Se vogliamo essere sicuri che venga ben accudita e che tragga dei vantaggi dalla sua residenza a Bandawe, dobbiamo aiutarla sia direttamente, come giá stiamo facendo, sia indirettamente, finanziando qualcuna delle attivitá della scuola. Questo é l’unico modo per essere sicuri che le vengano date il cibo e l’assistenza necessarie.
We will start from the basics and in particular from food and water.
Inizieremo dalle basi: acqua e cibo.
The money collected at ‘Rome in the movies’ were destined for the Christmas food. We will use for food also what is left. Gresham will be responsible of bringing the food to Bandawe and the community around the school will be involved to ensure that each and every child gets his proper share during the meals.
Durante la presentazione ‘Roma nei film’ abbiamo raccolto dei fondi da destinare al cibo per le famiglie per Natale. Useremo i soldi rimasti per comprare altro cibo. Gresham sará responsabile di portarlo a Bandawe e coinvolgerá la comunitá residente intorno alla scuola per assicurare che ogni bambino riceva la sua parte durante i pasti.
Compreremo per i bambini della scuola 180 kg di riso, 10 kg di carne e 40l di olio (costi previsti 51.200 Kwa o 238€). Abbiamo giá utilizzato 12€ per comprare degli integratori vitaminici per Malita per 28 giorni. I rimanenti 16€ ci serviranno per coprire i costi di trasferimento bancario (normalmente circa 18€).
On the same day when they will receive the food, the people of the Bandawe school will also be surprised with another news: they will get the money to reconnect the water pipes! The community will be invited to witness this and Gresham is also thinking of getting the local press involved to ensure even better documentation and transparency. Good luck in arranging all this Gresham!!!
Nel giorno in cui gli studenti di Bandawe riceveranno il cibo, verrano anche informati di un’altra importante novitá: avranno i fondi per riattaccarsi alla rete dell’acqua! La comunitá circostante la scuola verrá invitata per testimoniare questo evento e Gresham pensa anche di invitare la stampa locale per garantire un livello di informazione e trasparenza ancora maggiore. In bocca al lupo a Gresham per l’ organizzazione di tutto ció!
