The last health check of Malita was not as positive as expected. Her CD4 count is not rising or falling, whereas the doctors would expect one of these two trends. This considered the doctor enquired about Malita’s living conditions, her eating habits etc and decided to put her on a different line of ARV.
The next appointment will be on the 28th of july and then she will also be seen by a nutritionist.
The positive thing is that since she is on medicines, Malita has not been attacked by malaria or other illnesses and also the worms she had on her head disappeared.
L’ultimo controllo di Malita non é stato tanto positivo quanto ci aspettavamo. I CD4 non sono né cresciuti né diminuiti ed invece, secondo il dottore, una di queste due cose sarebbe dovuta accadere. Il dottore si é cosi informato sulle sue condizioni di vita, sulle sue abitudini alimentari ecc e ha concluso che é meglio amministrarle un ARV diverso rispetto a quello preso fino ad ora.
Il prossimo appuntamento sará il 28 luglio. Nella stessa occasione Malita andrá anche da un nutrizionista.
La buona notizia é che da quando é sotto cura, Malita non é stata piú affetta da malaria né da altre malattie e anche i vermi che aveva sulla testa sono scomparsi.
