During these last months we realized that our relationship with the landlord is such that he can decide to send Marajowi away from the shelter at any moment. A bit too risky, especially if we decide to improve its structure and add electricity to it. Through Gresham, we asked him whether it was possible to buy land from him, but the answer was given in a really unpolite and clear way: there is no option there!
It is for this reason that Gresham started asking around for the prices of land and also got some offers for possible construction. The amounts needed are high, but with the donation we are going to get from the school Het Startnest, from DSP and from other friends of Marajowi we think we will be able to cover most of the expenses. It seems like 2013 is going to be a year of new challenges!
In questi ultimi mesi abbiamo capito che il nostro rapporto con il proprietario dello shelter è tale che Marajowi può essere cacciato in qualsiasi momento. Una situazione un po' troppo rischiosa specialmente se decidiamo di apportare migliorie alla struttura e allacciarla all' elettricità. Tramite Gresham abbiamo chiesto se possiamo comprare l'intera struttura, ma la risposta è arrivata in modo molto chiaro ed anche piuttosto scortese: non ci sono possibilità!
Per questo motivo Gresham ha cominciato ad informarsi sui prezzi della terra e ha anche ricevuto dei preventivi per la costruzione. Ci servirà una somma considerevole di denaro, ma considerando le donazioni della scuola Het Startnest, della DSP e di altri amici di Marajowi, pensiamo di riuscire a coprire la maggior parte delle spese previste. Il 2013 sarà un anno pieno di nuove sfide!
