Today there was a very relaxed lesson at the shelter. The kids started using the material we sent for Christmas and discovered the possibility to play with clay. 
For the malawian children clay is something you get from earth, it is always dark brown and in some of their houses clay is used to cover the floors or the walls. So for them it was a complete novelty to see that it can be coloured too and that you can actually use it just to play and have a bit of fun!
Oggi allo shelter hanno fatto una lezione di puro svago. I bambini hanno cominciato ad utilizzare parte del materiale che abbiamo inviato loro per il Natale. In particolare oggi hanno giocato con il pongo.
Per i bimbi malawiani il pongo è qualcosa di molto simile all'argilla. Loro la usano per fare i pavimenti delle case o ricoprire i mattoni delle mura lí dove necessario. Di conseguenza il vedere che questa può anche essere colorata ed utilizzata come materiale di svago è stato una completa novità.
