Gresham managed to organize a small tour for all the children to the construction site of the new shelter. Just by coincidence this weekend and monday there is a small holiday in Malawi to remember all their martyrs. The school are thus closed and Ramos, Witness and Joyce are back home for these 3 days. So they were there too, together with Mrs Mwasangwale too.
They called us via Skype and we could have a small conversation and hear their enthusiasm.
The new shelter is going to be just 200m from the main road and very close to electricity and water connection. The construction of the real structure will start on monday already, since foundations are now set.
Gresham è riuscito ad organizzare una gita per tutti i bambini dello shelter nel luogo dove stiamo costruendo la nuova scuola. Per pura coincidenza questo weekend and Ramos, Witness e Joyce sono a Nkhata Bay, visto che le scuole sono chiuse per 3 giorni in ricordo di tutti i martiri del Malawi. Anche loro e Mrs Mwasangwale sono andati a vedere i lavori in corso.
Noi ci siamo potuti connettere via Skype e così abbiamo potuto parlarci e sentire il loro entusiasmo in prima persona.
Il nuovo shelter sarà a soli 200m dalla strada principale e molto vicino alle attuali pre-esistenti connessioni dell'elettricità e dell' acqua. La costruzione dell' edificio vero e proprio inizierà già da lunedì visto che le fondamente sono ormai concluse.
