In total we have 5 boxes for a total of 97kg.
We got the quotation from here and from Malawi. The details are the following:
- charges Eagle International Freight: sponsored
- charges Carco CC: sponsored
- check fee DG: 50 euro;
- scanning charges: 32.50 euro + 0.17 euro/Kg
- airfreight rate: 1.90 euro/kg
- fuel: 0.95 euro/Kg
- security: 0.15 euro/kg
- M.R.A. processing fees: 19500 MK
- airport handling fee: 20000 MK
- agent fees: 26000MK
- transportation 13000 MK
All the above adds up to approximately 390 euro to be paid in The Netherlands and 184 euro to be paid in Malawi.
We will take this money from what left of the donation of Het Startnest (226 euro), from the money collected from Nidhi (332 euro) and from the left overs from the Wukani school fees (16 euro).
Shipment is planned for today, 20th august.
In this way the laptops will be available in Nkhata Bay before the opening ceremony of the shelter school. This is currently planned for the 7th september.
Finalmente ogni cosa é pronta per spedire i computer portatili a Nkhata Bay. Le scatole sono pronte e ci abbiamo aggiunto anche le webcams, le tastiere, i mouse e gli scanner. Abbiamo messo negli scatoloni anche del materiale scolastico (es. gessetti, penne) e altri oggetti che pensiamo possano essere utili nella nuova scuola.

Prenderemo questi soldi da quelli rimasti dalla donazione dello Het Startnest (226 euro), da ció che é stato ricavato dalla vendita di Nidhi (332 euro) e da una parte di ció che é rimasto dopo il pagamento delle rette scolastiche di Wukani (16 euro).
