Today Ramos will sit for the admission
exams at Phewzi secondary school (not refundable fee 3500MK). He will be tested
in English and Math. We will then know in September whether he can actually enroll
at this school. This will depend on two factors. First of all he has to pass the
admission exams. Moreover, his enrolment will be determined by the mark he will
get at the national exams. As you certainly remember he sat and passed the
national exams last May, however his marks will be known only in September.
With a ‘general pass’ he will not be accepted at any secondary school and will
have to repeat at Wukani. The higher the grade the more possibilities he will
have to be enrolled at a good secondary school (like Phewzi).

secondaria Phewzi (costo: 3500MK, non rimborsabili). Il test sarà sulla sua
conoscenza dell’inglese e della matematica. A settembre sapremo se ha passato
il test e si puó iscrivere in questa scuola. L’iscrizione dipenderà però anche
dal voto con cui ha superato gli esami nazionali. Come certamente vi
ricorderete, lo scorso maggio Ramos ha superato gli esami nazionali con successo.
Il voto verrà però reso noto solamente a settembre. Se passa con un ‘sufficiente’
non verrà accettato a Phewzi (né in nessun’altra scuola) e dovrà ripetere l’anno
a Wukani. Se invece passa con un voto più alto avrà una maggiore possibilità di
venire accettato in scuole secondarie con una buona reputazione (come Phewzi).
