When we were in Nkhata Bay, last
April, we reported to the police the issues about Gresham and the missing
laptops. It took a while, but last week Geoffrey the police officer in charge
of the case contacted us to inform us that one of the laptops was found back.
Apparently they also know where the other laptops are and they think they all
are in Nkhata Bay.
Since the Toshiba laptop was sitting in
a drawer at the police office, we thought of sending Clement to pick it up. He
can use it to report to us about Marajowi and also for his own projects.
We hope more positive news will follow
soon.
Lo scorso settembre, durante la nostra visita a Nkhata
Bay, abbiamo sporto denuncia alla polizia per i fatti riguardanti Gresham, ma
anche per i computer portatili scomparsi. E’ trascorso molto tempo da allora,
ma la settimana scorsa Geoffrey, il poliziotto responsabile del caso ci ha
chiamato per informarci che uno dei computer era stato ritrovato. Ci ha anche
detto che credono di sapere dove sono tutti gli altri computer e pensano che
siano a Nkhata Bay.
Visto che il computer stava chiuso in un cassetto alla
stazione di polizia, abbiamo deciso di mandare Clement a prenderlo. Potrá
usarlo per comunicare meglio con noi riguardo Marajowi e anche per i suoi
progetti.
Speriamo di potervi dare altre notizie (positive) al più
presto.
