The first pizza workshop with the IWCU ladies is completed. The money collected for the workshop has been used to rebuild the pit latrine of the Saint Maria Goretti School for the Visually Impaired and albino children in Nkhata Bay. It got heavily damaged with the rains of the last weeks and the school was about to close for hygienic reasons. Since we know how essential the school is for the local visual impaired and albino children, we decided to help out our old friend Peter (headmaster of the special needs section of the school) and answer his call for help. The latrine has already been rebuilt so that lessons could keep going. Thanks Mel, Susan, Caroline, Catherine and Amy for making this possible and in such a fun way!! You make excellent pizza makers :)!
Il primo workshop su come fare la pizza con le donne dell'IWCU si è appena concluso. I soldi ricevuti per il workshop sono stati usati per costruire la fossa biologica alla scuola per non vedenti ed albini di Saint Maria Goretti a Nkhata Bay. La fossa biologica era stata fortemente danneggiata dalle piogge dei giorni scorsi e rischiava di dover chiudere per questioni igieniche. Siccome sappiamo quanto questa scuola sia importante per la comunità di bimbi non vedenti ed albini, abbiamo deciso di raccogliere la richiesta di aiuto di Peter, il preside della scuola. La fossa biologica è già stata ricostruita e le lezioni possono continuare. Grazie a Mel, Susan, Caroline, Catherine e Amy per aver reso possibile tutto ciò divertendoci a fare la pizza. Siete delle ottime pizzaiole!
