The heaviest rains since 2008 flooded Mzuzu and the northern province of Malawi, including Nkhata Bay in the course of the last week. Many people lost their houses and some even their lives during few days of torrential rains. Luckily all those we know are fine. Witness and Joyce managed to get back to school on time for the opening of the third trimester. There were instead some problems with Gift, since they did not manage to do all the shopping on time. Last night Gift and his grandma stayed over at Clement's and only today he made it to school.
Delle piogge torrenziali si sono abbattute su Mzuzu e sul nord del Malawi nel corso dell'ultima settimana. Sono state le piogge peggiori dal 2008 ed hanno lasciato molte persone senza casa. Alcune persone hanno perfino perso la vita. Fortunatamente tutti quelli che conosciamo stanno bene.
Witness e Joyce sono riusciti ad arrivare a scuola in tempo per l'inizio del nuovo trimestre. Per Gift invece c'è stata qualche difficoltà perchè a cause delle intense piogge, non sono riusciti a completare tutto lo shopping in tempo. La notte scorsa Gift e la nonna sono rimasti a casa di Clement e solo oggi sono riusciti ad arrivare a scuola.
