If you still remember some time ago, we told you that Gresham had a fiancé. A couple of weeks ago, we heard that there have been quite some developments in their story. First they had a baby Tawonga (meaning Thank you). Like we told you, Gresham has no source of income and so the mother and the baby moved in with Gresham's brother who could support them better. Unfortunately, this new setting did not run as smooth as planned and a few days later, the mother left Tawonga to Gresham and moved back to his parents in the very south of Malawi. In the malawian tradition in fact, a child belongs to his father. Despite her old age, Gresham's mother is now taking care of Tawonga who grew into quite a puffy girl. She eats 500g powder milk each 4 days for 1450 Kwa, quite a sum of money to put together...
Apparently in the coming days, Gresham is going to try and convince his fiancé to come back with him, but he already expects it to be very hard to manage.
Se vi ricordate, qualche tempo fa vi abbiamo detto che Gresham si era fidanzato. Un paio di settimane fa abbiamo saputo che ci sono stati notevoli sviluppi in questa storia. Tanto per cominciare Gresham ha avuto una bambina Tawonga (il cui nome significa Grazie). Come sapete, Gresham non ha alcuna fonte fissa di reddito e per questo motivo, la mamma e la bimba sono andate a stare con suo fratello che ha maggiore possibilitá di mantenerle. Sfortunatamente le cose non sono andate bene come sperato e pochi giorni dopo la mamma ha lasciato Tawonga a Gresham ed é tornata dai suoi genitori, al sud del Malawi. Nella tradizione malawiana infatti un bambino appartiene al proprio padre. Nonostante la sua etá avanzata, la mamma di Gresham si sta ora occupando di Tawonga che é diventata una bimba piuttosto paffuta. Mangia 500g di latte in polvere ogni 4 giorni, il che corrisponde ad una spesa di 1450 Kwa. Un bel po' di soldi da racimolare...
Nei prossimi giorni Gresham ha intenzione di provare a convincere la sua fidanzata a tornare con lui, ma giá dice che sará dura!
