There is still time for Christmas, but we thought that also this year our young friends in Malawi would like to receive a box of present around that time.
We discussed the issue with Gresham and we came to the conclusion that the most appreciated gift would be school material for the shelter and for Malita, Ramos, Joyce and Witness. We decided to use some of the funds you are already sending us to buy something, but please let us know in case you are willing to buy something yourself and bring it to us. We are focusing mostly on books (but these have to be only in english), visual material, colours, pens, copybooks and all the other stationary items which can be useful in a class.

For the shipment Gresham is getting into contact with some agents back in Malawi. We received a couple of quotations already, but we are waiting for the final one. From our side instead, also this year we asked for help at Eagle Freight bv. John and Tjakko were as helpful as ever and immediately sent us their quotation: 190 euro. They will sponsor the airport transfer fees and the handling charges. Thanks a lot for that!

Manca ancora un po' di tempo a Natale, ma abbiamo pensato che ai nostri piccoli amici in Malawi farebbe molto piacere ricevere dei doni anche quest' anno.
Abbiamo fatto questa proposta a Gresham e siamo giunti alla conclusione che il regalo più apprezzato è del materiale scolastico sia per i bimbi dello shelter che per Malita, Ramos, Joyce e Witness. Abbiamo pensato di utilizzare alcuni dei fondi che già ci avete mandato per fare degli acquisti, ma se preferite comprare qualche cosa personalmente e farcela avere, fateci sapere. Ci interessano libri (questi devono essere solamente in inglese), gessetti, penne, colori, quaderni e tutti gli altri oggetti di cartoleria che possono essere utili in classe.

Per la spedizione Gresham è già in contatto con alcuni agenti in Malawi. Abbiamo già ricevuto un paio di preventivi, ma stiamo aspettando quello definitivo. Dal canto nostro abbiamo contattato la Eagle Freight bv come l' anno scorso. Anche questa volta John e Tjakko ci hanno risposto immediatamente e ci hanno mandato il loro preventivo: 190 euro. Loro si prenderanno carico delle tasse aeroportuali.
Vogliamo fare la spedizione all' inizio di dicembre.
