It definitely was a memorable day for both the teachers and the students.
There were many speeches and for example the President of the Mzuzu Lions club underlined his appreciation for the hard-working spirit of the school. Despite the lack of funds they did not stop providing all what they could to the children.
After getting all her belongings Gresham and Malita started their trip back together with most of the children and their parents. Malita was all over playing and pinching her friends up to the bus stage.
Just before leaving, she told her teacher that she will miss the school and all the friends she has there because her parents don't take good care of her and she sleeps in a very. bad place...
We hope that despite this Malita will have a good time at home. The 7th of january, when the school will open again, is far away...
Oggi é stato il giorno di chiusura del trimestre anche a Bandawe.
Questa giornata é coincisa con l'inaugurazione del nuovo dormitorio femminile sponsorizzato dal Lion Club di Mzuzu. Per questo motivo rappresentanti del Lion Club e del parlamento locale hanno presenziato all'intera cerimonia. E' stato un giorno memorabile sia per gli studenti che per gli insegnanti.
Ognuno ha tenuto il suo discorso e il presidente del Lion Club di Mzuzu ha sottolineato la sua ammirazione per lo spirito della scuola: nonostante la mancanza di fondi hanno continuato ad aiutare gli studenti e a fare le lezioni come meglio potevano.
Dopo aver radunato tutte le sua cose, insieme agli altri bimbi e genitorni, Gresham e Malita si sono messi sulla via del ritorno. Malita ha giocato tutto il tempo con i suoi amichetti.
Salutando la maestra, Malita le ha detto che le mancherá la scuola e tutti i suoi amici perché i suoi genitori non hanno molta cura di lei e il posto dove dorme lascia molto a desiderare...
Speriamo che nonostante tutto Malita sará felice a Nkhata Bay. Il 7 gennaio, giorno di riapertura delle scuole, é ancora molto lontano...
