The month of January was dedicated to teaching some geography to the children of the shelter. Since the children already have some notions on Africa, Gresham started with Europe.
The map and the extra material we sent help the children to visualize what they are learning about. Moreover, Gresham tries to link each country with a story or anecdote which will help the children to remember things easier. 
In parallel to this the children are also learning their regular syllabus, so that they can participate more actively to the lessons during their regular morning classes.
Thanks to this new style of teaching the attendance at the shelter is very high and everyone is extremely attentive and motivated.
Il mese di gennaio è stato dedicato per lo più ad insegnare un po' di geografia ai bimbi dello shelter. Considerato che hanno già qualche nozione sull' Africa, Gresham ha preferito iniziare le lezioni con l' Europa.
La cartina del mondo e l'altro materiale informativo che abbiamo spedito loro, permette ai bambini di visualizzare al meglio quello che stanno imparando. Inoltre Gresham prova a raccontare una storia o aneddoto per ogni paese così che questo rimanga impresso in un modo migliore nella memoria di ognuno.
In parallelo, i bambini continuano a studiare anche sui loro libri di testo, cosi da poter partecipare più attivamente alle lezioni mattutine nelle rispettive scuole.
Grazie al nuovo stile di insegnamento, i bambini sono sempre presenti alle lezioni e anche il loro livello di attenzione è cresciuto notevolmente.
