At the moment, after fitting the doors and the windows, they are busy chiseling and piping the building to connect it to electricity. Plastering and painting will be done as last.
The services for electricity have been paid and they are just waiting for a green light to install everything. As for the water instead, we will have to wait a bit longer for the green light to be there.
On suggestion of Gresham we are thinking of looking for a (night) watchman for the new school. At this moment the economical situation in Malawi is very bad and because of this robbery and vandalism are becoming more and more common.
La costruzione dello shelter va avanti come da programma. Ci aspettiamo che l'edificio sia finito per la seconda settimana di giugno. A quel punto l'unica cosa che mancherà saranno i mobili.
Al momento sono state messi tutti gli infissi e sono stati avviati i lavori per collegarsi all'elettricità. Poi sarà la volta dell'intonaco ed infine la struttura verrà verniciata.
Per quanto riguarda l'elettricità, tutte le commissioni di natura burocratica sono state sbrigate e ora si attende solo il via dal governo per potersi allacciare. Allacciarsi all'acqua invece richiederà un po' più di tempo.
Dietro suggerimento di Gresham stiamo valutando se assumere un guardiano (anche notturno) per la scuola. In questo momento la situazione economica in Malawi è molto instabile e casi di furto e vandalismo sono sempre più frequenti.
