Pilirani Msika, one of the children attending the shelter has passed away last friday. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
She felt sick while at school and her father was called to pick her up. When he arrived she was so weak that he immediately brought her to the hospital. However she was declared dead upon arrival. Post mortem revealed she had malaria and her sugar levels were exceptionally high.
The other children of the shelter were not to affected by this news. Sadly things like this happens so often in Nkhata Bay that they are used to that...
Pilirani Msika, una delle bimbe che frequentavano lo shelter, è morta lo scorso venerdì. La sua morte è stata improvvisa ed inaspettata.
Si è sentita male la mattina mentre era a scuola. Gli insegnanti hanno chiamato il padre per andarla a prendere. Al suo arrivo, Pilirani era così debole che il padre ha deciso di trasportarla immediatamente in ospedale. Sfortunatamente è arrivata morta.
Le analisi post mortem hanno rivelato che aveva la malaria ed un livello di zuccheri nel sangue particolarmente alto.
