On the last day of school before the Christmas holidays, there was a year closing ceremony at the Wukani Education Facillity. Ramos, Witness and Joyce took active part to it.We were told that the ceremony was very lively. Both the children and Gresham were impressed with what the Owner and Director of the school said. First he appreciated the effort the parents, guardians and sponsors are doing by paying a fortune to enable those children to obtain a good education. Then he warned against feeding them with a silver spoon. All the students should be taught to work hard and earn what they need, so that they will become independent and will not depend on others for everything.
Nell'ultimo giorno di scuola prima delle vacanze di Natale, alla Wukani Education Facility hanno organizzato una cerimonia di chiusura anno. Ramos, Witness e Joyce vi hanno partecipato attivamente.Ci hanno riferito che la cerimonia é stata molto bella. Sia Gresham che i bambini sono rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dalle parole del proprietario e direttore della scuola. Per prima cosa ha ringraziato i genitori, i tutori e gli sponsor per gli sforzi fatti per pagare le rette scolastiche e permettere a questi bambini di avere un'educazione adeguata. Ha poi anche sottolineato che é importante non trattare questi bambini con i guanti d'oro. Si deve insegnare a tutti gli studenti a lavorare sodo per imparare tutto ció che servirá loro in futuro. Nel futuro dovranno infatti essere indipendenti e non essere a ricasco degli altri per tutto.

Also in Bandawe they had a special closing ceremony and all the parents were invited to attend it. They had a workshop about how to deal with the children during the 3 weeks of the Christmas holidays and spent a night at the school with them. Basically they were taught some basic sign language to be able to understant the children's need during the time they will be at home.
Anche a Bandawe c'é stata un cerimonia di chiusura diversa dal solito. Tutti i genitori sono stati invitati a trascorrere una notte nella scuola e a seguire un mini-corso di un giorno. Gli insegnanti della scuola hanno mostrato loro come accudire i loro figli durante il periodo delle vacanze scolastiche e hanno insegnato loro le basi del linguaggio dei segni per poter comunicare con loro anche a casa.
During this last time period Malita has greatly improved. Now she can communicate in an effective way with the sign language and she can also write some symbols. The teachers are giving her some special care, but her diet still needs to be improved and possibly implemented with some vitamin tablets.
In quest'ultimo periodo Malita é migliorata notevolmente. Ora puó comunicare senza problemi con il linguaggio dei segni e sa anche scrivere alcuni simboli. Gli insegnanti la accudiscono con particolare attenzione, ma sarebbe necessario migliorare la sua dieta ed integrarla con delle vitamine.
