Gift
Freighton used to work together with Ellah,
Gift’s mother at a local hostel. However, things changed completely today from
those happy times. Ellah got married again and had a second son, but because of
her chronicle illness, her husband divorced from her, taking with him only his
biological son. Gift stayed back with his mother, who was however too weak and
poor even to bath him, let alone getting some food or taking care he attended
school. When Freighton went to visit them for the first time, he was shocked to
see the conditions they were living in. Gift was in an almost completely
dilapidated house with dirty surroundings and their only source of life was the
good heart of some good wishers. Ellah was so weak that she considered death
better than her current life, but she was very worried about what would have
happened to Gift once she was gone. Just recently Ellah passed away and now
Gift stays with his aunt. We do wish him the best and we hope to be able to
alleviate his sufferings a bit thanks to Freigthon and Marajowi.
Qualche anno fa Freighton lavorava insieme ad Ellah, la mamma di Gift, in un ostello locale. Sfortunatamente le cose sono cambiate molto da allora. Ellah si è sposata ed ha avuto un secondo figlio, ma a causa della sua malattia cronica, è stata presto lasciata dal marito. Quest'ultimo si è preso la responsabilità solamente del suo figlio biologico e ha lasciato Gift con la madre. Ellah era però così debole da non riuscire neanche a lavare il figlio, figuriamoci procurargli del cibo o assicurarsi che andasse a scuola. Quando Freighton li è andati a trovare è rimasto sconvolto dalle loro condizioni di vita, dalla casa completamente fatiscente e dallo sporco. Ellah era così debole che considerava la morte migliore della vita, ma aveva una grossa preoccupazione: cosa sarebbe successo a Gift se lei non ci fosse più stata. Recentemente Ellah è passata a miglior vita e Gift sta ora con sua zia. Speriamo che Freigthon e Marajowi riescano a migliorare un po' le condizioni di vita di questo bimbo.
