A new adventure has started for Katie and she joined the other children when going to Wukani. She was tested and deemed fit for Standard 3, though we are afraid she will have to work hard to keep up with the class. She is not afraid of this and very well determined and motivated. She can read English and she is good at writing and apparently she is a fast learner too.
The first time she arrived to Wukani accompanied by her aunt, since her mum remarried and moved to another village. Katie of course went to school also with Clement, Joyce and Gift. It was a happy start for her and we wish her the best luck!
Anche per Katie è iniziata una nuova avventura e qualche settimana fa è andata con gli altri ragazzi a Wukani. In seguito ai risultati del suo test di ingresso è stata inserita nello Standard 3. Temiamo che dovrà lavorare sodo per stare alla pari con il resto della classe, ma Katie ha detto che ciò non la preoccupa e sembra essere molto motivata. Sa leggere l'inglese e scrive bene e, a quanto ci dicono, impara molto in fretta.
Il primo giorno di scuola è arrivata a Wukani insieme con la zia. La mamma infatti è recentemente andata a vivere in un altro villaggio dopo essersi risposata. Ovviamente insieme a lei c'erano anche Clement, Joyce e Gift. Le auguriamo ogni bene!
