Meeting the parents....Incontro con i genitori.

Today we have the opportunity to meet the parents of Marajowi. Thanks to Gresham who translated everything for us from Chitonga to English and vice versa, we talked for some time with the mum of Malita, Ramos and Joyce and the aunt of Witness. They were all extremely glad of the opportunity given to the kids, but had some questions about the organization of Marajowi and how the project will develop further. We explained them that Marajowi is completely independent from any other charity/volunteer organization and that we survive thanks to the donations of a group of people who contribute at different times and with different sums, according to their possibilities. At the end they invited us to pay them a visit at their homes tomorrow.

Oggi abbiamo l’opportunitá di incontrare i genitori di Marajowi. Grazie a Gresham che traduceva ogni cosa dal Chitonga all’Inglese e vice versa, abbiamo chiacchierato per un po’ con la mamma di Malita, Ramos e Joyce e con la zia di Witness. Ognuna di loro si é dimostrata estremamente felice e grata dell’opportunitá data ai bimbi e ha fatto qualche domanda su Marajowi e sugli ulteriori sviluppi del progetto. Abbiamo spiegato loro che Marajowi é un’associazione completamente indipendente da qualsiasi altra organizzazione di volontariato e che sopravvive grazie ad un gruppo di donatori che contribuiscono con tempi e somme variabili a seconda delle proprie possibilitá. Alla fine della mattinata ci hanno invitato a trovarle a casa per domani.
